Our focus is on supporting parents and families in Western Australia. We have many wonderful volunteers who help out at Clan WA, by working directly with families, helping in our office and supporting our community events. These volunteers are trained and supported by our staff and are an important part of our organisation.
We also organise community events and run community courses and information seminars for parents and community groups. We can also tailor a parenting program to your group on topics including parenting from a distance or specific parenting issues.
We have strong relationships with other organisations in the community to build the capacity of parents, families and the community. We have strong community networks and referral pathways.
We also provide courses and seminars as professional development or in-service events and volunteer training for other organisations.
Why we do it:
We recognise the importance of strong communities for families. Our work with volunteers, staff and other organisations builds community resilience and contributes towards the wellbeing of parents and families.
